What are the installation and dismantling steps of scaffolding?
The installation and dismantling of scaffolding is an important link in construction and must be carried out strictly in accordance with safety regulations. The following is a summary of the key steps:
Installation steps
First, basic preparations need to be made. Check the flatness of the ground and set up bases and pads to ensure stability. Subsequently, erect the vertical rods according to the design drawings, fix them with connecting pieces, and then install the horizontal rods to form a frame structure. To enhance overall stability, diagonal support members need to be added. Finally, scaffold boards are laid and safety guardrails and toe plates are installed to form a complete working platform. During the installation process, the firmness and verticality of the connection should be checked layer by layer.
Disassembly steps
Before disassembly, all debris and tools on the scaffolding must be thoroughly cleared. The sequence of removal is the opposite of that of installation, following the principle of "top-down, installation first, then removal". First, remove the scaffold boards, guardrails and other ancillary facilities, and then remove the crossbars and vertical poles layer by layer. During the demolition process, temporary supports should be set up to prevent structural instability. It is strictly prohibited to throw members. The removed materials should be classified and stacked, and removed in a timely manner. When working at heights, safety belts must be fastened and warning areas should be set up.
Throughout the entire process, workers must wear safety protective equipment. Work should be suspended in case of bad weather such as strong winds, rain or snow. For special forms of scaffolding (such as cantilever type and attached type), additional requirements in the special plan also need to be implemented.
